day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<hr>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Saloon<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>A little clapboard building<br \/>Underneath a silver moon<br \/>Closes down at three a.m.<br \/>Opens up at noon<br \/>No use tryin&#8217; to stay away<br \/>You&#8217;ll hurry back real soon<br \/>You&#8217;ll find it all and have a ball<br \/>At the Feed &#8216;n&#8217; Seed Saloon.<\/p>\n<p>Now you might go for bluegrass<br \/>And an old-time fiddle tune<br \/>Or to hear Jim Dandy play and sing<br \/>My how that boy can croon<br \/>You&#8217;re sure to feel like dancin&#8217;<br \/>Spryer than a young baboon<br \/>Yes, we&#8217;ve agreed it&#8217;s all we need<br \/>The Feed &#8216;n&#8217; Seed Saloon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Cowbell<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>The dogs are underneath the porch and Josie&#8217;s in her pasture<br \/>Chewin&#8217; grass and ringin&#8217; her cowbell<br \/>The crib is stocked with store-bought feed and old corn cobs from last year<br \/>Granny&#8217;s drawin&#8217; water from the well.<\/p>\n<p>Here comes the yellow Mayfield&#8217;s truck, he&#8217;ll stop there in the road<br \/>With Brown Cows and buttermilk to sell<br \/>Tonight we&#8217;ll have peach cobbler with ice cream &#8212; a la mode!<br \/>While Josie plays a song on her cowbell.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Loan<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>Maybe we are given life to do the best we can<br \/>If we don&#8217;t try we&#8217;ll sink down like a stone<br \/>With any luck before the end we&#8217;ll come to understand<br \/>Time is not a gift it&#8217;s just a loan.<\/p>\n<p>I have squandered many hours, thrown so much away<br \/>Pretending that my time was not my own<br \/>And still I had the fortune to wake up another day<br \/>And get another chance to pay my loan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Sombrero<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>One spring when flowers hugged the ground<br \/>And sweetly sang the sparrow<br \/>A man came walking into town<br \/>He wore a large sombrero.<\/p>\n<p>He carried a ten-penny pipe<br \/>And played Ravel&#8217;s Bolero<br \/>He stayed until the plums were ripe<br \/>This man in the sombrero.<\/p>\n<p>One day they looked and he was gone<br \/>As swiftly as an arrow<br \/>Like Pancho Villa or Don Juan<br \/>The man in the sombrero.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Cane<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>The things that made it special aren&#8217;t easy to explain<br \/>Sometimes in my bed at night I&#8217;d hear the midnight train<br \/>In the land of blackberries and sugar cane.<\/p>\n<p>Summers were so dry sometimes we&#8217;d kneel and pray for rain<br \/>And on cold winter mornings ice would frost the window pane<br \/>In the land of blackberries and sugar cane.<\/p>\n<p>The old red rooster ruled the roost and spun the weather vane<br \/>We sang &#8220;Shady Grove&#8221;, &#8220;In the Pines&#8221;, &#8220;Eliza Jane&#8221;<br \/>In the land of blackberries and sugar cane.<\/p>\n<p>Days were full of wonder even though our lives
